Mammoth Summer 2002
Trip Synopsis:
Kris, Brent & Nate arrived in Mammoth First. They were able to grab the last three campsitesin the Twin Lakes region. Lindsay & I arrived next, and we were able to setup tents andstuff in each campground, so that sneaky campers weren't tempted to steal the campsite!Geoff & Krisit arrived late that evening.
On the second day, the group that arrived hiked down into the Red's Meadow Valley. Westopped to see several lakes, Devil's Postpile and Rainbow Falls. The hike to Rainbow Fallswas especially tough, as it got really hot outside. The mist of the falls cooled us off, andwe were able to make it back to the campsite before Ed, Rob & Beth, and later Bryan, Ashlie andErin arrived
The final full day there was dedicated to mountain biking! We cruised down the hill, and justabout everyone crashed at one point or another! It was extremely tiring, but it was a blast.That evening, we spent some time trying to figure out Rob & Beth's riddles around the campfire.
